The Virtues Of War

I just completed "The Virtues of War" by Steven Pressfield.  This is a novel of Alexander the Great.  It is an interesting perspective.  It is written as though you are reading the personal journal of Alexander.  I found Pressfield's approach refreshing: Alexander wasn't just a warrior.  He also self examined for the reasons behind his actions.  His lense is his own personal experiences, the histories of his Father and his observations and stylizations of his friends' behaviors.  The book is a fast read.  Highly recommended.
