At lunch today, I managed to slurp some molé sauce on my new cotton shirt. (For those of you without experience, molé sauce can leave a permanent stain if not taken care of quickly.) After the requisite kidding on the way back to work, I stopped by Walgreen's to pick up a Tide stain remover pen. However, the Shout wipes caught my eye and I decided to give them a try. It was a good choice. The stain disappeared without the usual 6" diameter wet spot on the front of my shirt.
I advise guys to keep a box of the wipes in their desks and avoid the "wearing your lunch?" comments coworkers find so funny in the lead up to the 3:00 PM meeting with the brass.
(They're individually wrapped in packets, so they won't go bad. A lot easier to apply than the Tide pen. The wipe also allows you to scrub the spot.)
For those of you that might be interested, here's one of my favorite chicken molé recipes. I don't add the stewed tomatoes. Instead, substitute two cans of chicken stock for a thicker, richer sauce. To the best of my knowledge, I've never seen tomatos in a molé sauce.
