Christmas Gifts (Not Received)

by Codewiz51 December 26, 2009 21:57

I am not a materialistic man, I never have been.  When my children asked what I wanted for Christmas, I asked for a note.  Something I might carry in my wallet.  I asked for a note on what they remembered most about being a member of my family.  I have a son and a daughter, adopted, and a daughter from my first marriage.  The adpted son and daughter I live with every day and love and support like no other did not respond to me at all.

As a father, all I wanted was a note from my son and my daughters, nothing more...

It seems that expressing warmth, memory and affection is too much to ask in 2009.  Maybe next year?
