I used to gripe about having to update my Boost C++ libraries so often, but these web/.Net things seem to morph by the day. I am trying to get up to speed on modern web design techniques and so far, I've updated my components twice in the last two weeks.
Getting a meaningful Ajax application up and running has proven interesting. I recognize the potential for partial page updates, but designing practical examples has proven difficult: I have a web application at work that uses partial page updates when selecting query criteria for charting, which I may be able to adapt. I've also become enamored with obout controls. They are simply stunning.
jQuery has proven more difficult to grasp. I'll have to get back to you on this technology.
I am wrestling with the need to learn MVC. I am quite happy developing in ASP.Net and Web Forms. So far, I am simply working through examples and tutorials. I am not really far enough along to design anything useful.
WPF design: I am really impressed with some of the things I am learning about WPF. This technology is definitely worth learning.
I know this is a fairly useless post. I've spent way too much time on Twitter and Facebook and I am finding these technologies to be way too time consuming. It's time to get back to development and original thought.
