Updated 3/23/2010: Comment spam is horrendous at this time.  I have switched to moderated comments for a while.  If it keeps up, I may be forced to use Akismet spam filters.  I've also noticed that the syntax highlighter really isn't doing it's job when it comes to colorizing adjacent comment and code lines.

Updated 3/22/2010: The performance seems to drag with this release.  When the blog is first accessed there seems to be an interminable delay.  I've received several comments from other users regarding this lag.  It's like the application is recompiling everytime someone new accesses the blog.

After some minor fits and starts, I managed to get the new version of blogengine.net working.  The biggest problem was that VS 2008 web copy kept skipping sub-directories.  I finally gave up and used filezilla.

Judging by the stats on Google analytics and awstats, my web site must have been down for a long time on Saturday.  I am seeing a few outages now that webhost4life.com is migrating to a new platform.  Unfortunately, I have gotten several negatve e-mails from folks that were migrated earlier than my site.  My site was originally schedule for 1/17/2010, but is still not migrated.
