I deactivated my Facebook account!  Oh My Gosh!  Why would I do that?  I've been looking at statistics on my Facebook and Twitter postings.  I primarily write code and develop software.  I found I was spending too much time trying to find something interesting to say.  There are enough folks finding wonderful quotes to post.  And I love reading stuff that makes me think.  But what I am best at is coding, not conversation.  So I am leaving Facebook.  I'll probably leave twitter too.  No doubt I've found some really great content on twitter and made some wonderful acquaintances.  But mostly, it's simply a waste of time.  LinkedIn on the otherhand is useful.  I actually make usuable business contacts with LinkedIn.  I think I'll continue to use it.
