I've been avoiding electronic books. I prefer to have a hard copy in my hands. (If I'm going to the beach, I don't like the idea of hauling around an expensive electronic toy in the ocean air.) My new laptop came with a copy of Nook installed. I played around with it, and ended up downloading Kindle.
I've since purchased a copy of WPF 4 Unleashed to read using Kindle on my laptop. So far, the only thing I don't like about Kindle is the scrolling. Instead of scrolling down in the text of a page, when I scroll, Kindle jumps to the next page. This is a little counterintuitive when one is used to scrolling smoothly down an HTML page or a PDF document.
However, I have to say I am growing used to the e-book concept. I may have to purchase a Kindle device.
