I perform a lot of work from home, using our Checkpoint VPN and Remote Desktop. I've been frustrated with the clip board functionality. It just hasn't been working. I found this reference:
Why does my shared Remote Desktop clipboard not work? (Part 1)I went round and round with this reference, starting and stopping the RdpClip.exe and mstsc.exe processes on my local machine. Nothing worked. Then I thought to check if the process was running on the remote system.
Nope! I started rdpclip.exe.
Voila! I can now cut and paste text back and forth between sessions.
Solution: Make sure rdpclip.exe is running on the
remote computer if you need to use a shared clipboard. I had turned this service off as not necessary on my remote machine. I just run rdpclip.exe manually when I need the shared clipboard.
